Bugle Boy at Swansea Grand Theatre

Picture

One of my posts from 2013

I was really looking forward to seeing Bugle Boy in Swansea Grand Theatre as I love the music of Glenn Millar and the show has had rave review, well, it certainly didn't dissapoint. It was hard not to move to the music and concentrate on work and capturing the show ready for my solo show in August!!

With a full 16-piece swing band onstage throughout, Bugle Boy traces the life of Glenn Miller from leaving college to achieving world-wide fame. It follows his search for the sound that would give his band its distinctive sound, a sound that would make it recognisable to people all over the world and give it over 30 hit singles. Then, when the 2nd World War came, of how he joined the American army, first trying to modernise the army's attitude to military music, then
taking the army version of his band around the world to entertain the troops.
Until his plane went missing on a flight from England to France.
